David Clark Headset Refurbishment

At AirHeadz, we recently completed another full refurbishment of a David Clark headset.


  • Replaced old headband support with super soft headband cushion

  • Replaced microphone boom arm and rewired headset

  • Replaced microphone and tested the microphone sensitivity with 1kHz sinewave response checks measured against 1kHz signal generator sinewave

  • Replacement M7A microphone showed good sensitivity at -3dB

  • Microphone boom cover

  • Replaced ear dome filters

  • New ear seals

  • Deep clean of left and right ear domes

  • Paint touched up to freshen up David Clark logo on each ear dome

  • Deep clean of stirrups, supports and all securing components

  • Removed oxidization from jacks and thoroughly cleaned to improve connection to aircraft

  • Cleaned up internal speakers to help with sound quality and life expectancy

  • Ground communications check as well as communications check in a Cessna 172 with local Air Traffic Control
